The scorching summer heat has fueled sales of products that help people cool off, and skirt-like trousers for men have garnered attention on China's e-commerce platforms.

Data from Taobao.com showed sales of loose trousers that resemble skirts rose 92 percent on July 26, over a day earlier. 淘宝网数据显示，7月26日该平台男士裤裙销量较前一日暴涨92%。
According to a clothing store on Taobao, skirts and short pants are usually must-have summer items for women, but this year pant-skirts for men have become a trend because they are good for sun protection and letting off heat. 据淘宝上一家服饰店介绍，短裙、热裤通常是女士必备的专属夏装，但今年男士裤裙似乎渐成潮流，因为这种服装在防晒和散热方面都很给力。

After completing its first year of observations in the southern sky, NASA's Transiting Exoplanet Survey Satellite (TESS) has spotted some intriguing new exoplanets only 31 light-years away from Earth.
